Welcome to the ninth issue of the Basket Biz Cafe Newsletter! I'm so glad to have you as a member of our newsletter readers. Just a note here, if you see crazy characters in the text, it's to help this newsletter get through the spam filters to reach your inbox instead of your junk mail box, I really do know how to spell! The word S~A~L~E is especially vulnerable.

Editor's Note

I know it's been a long time since you've heard from me. Over the summer we sold our house and built a new one, we also had to move twice because our house sold much quicker than we had anticipated. It seemed there just wasn't enough hours in the day to get everything done and I wasn't very good at dedicating time to writing a newsletter.

Please forgive me.

I was also spending much more time running the business because it has begun to grow. It seemed at that point that something had to give and the newsletter that you had become accustom to receiving seemed to be the thing that got shoved to the back burner.

Yes, I plan to get back in the swing again soon with issuing the newsletter, hopefully within the next couple of months, but first I want to assess our subscriber's needs and rethink what the publication should be and become. I want to consider the time not only dedicated to publishing such a comprehensive letter, but also the time it takes for our subscribers to read through it. I'm thinking that a shorter, more compact newsletter may be of more value than the one we previously published. I'll be giving it lots of thought over the next couple of months and will let know what I come up with.

New Items

Now on to the main reason I emailed ~ WE HAVE SOME NEW STUFF!!! YAY!! And we're going to be getting even more new stuff soon. The shipment we just received has a couple of Christmas items but mostly includes general everyday pieces. The shipment that will be arriving in the next few weeks will be mostly Valentine's Day stuff ~ wow, I'm so excited!

Anyway, click over now to see the "Newly Arrived" items section of the website, I'm sure you'll like what you see. Then, don't forget to keep checking back in a couple of weeks for the Valentine's Day shipment, but if you tend to forget things like that, I'll send you an email when it gets here so you won't miss out.

Also, this might be a good time to mention, we purchase a lot of our inventory from liquidation brokers. We have to buy large quantities, or what seems like large quantities to us, but often, once it's gone, we are unable to get any more. I just wanted you to be aware, all the items we have are on a first-come, first-served basis, and if we can't get more, at least you know why.
