The Basket Biz Cafe Newsletter is a monthly newsletter that has a readership comprised of small to medium-sized gift basket businesses. Most these businesses are owned by women (but there are some men) who either work out of their homes, have small boutiques, or have a warehouse/office space where they have created a design studio. Most market to both individual and corporate enterprises with the corporate sales comprising the largest percentage of their sales.

ALL subscribers are "double opt-in," this means we require they confirm their subscription once they sign up. This ensures everyone on our list has truly requested to receive our newsletter. This also means that our subscribers are more likely to read the newsletter when it's received and your ad response rates will be more accurate.

Ad Specifics: Each 100-word ad runs at the bottom of the newsletter in our "Gift Basket Marketplace" section. Your ad should be a max of 100 words, including e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or URLs. Ads submitted with greater word counts will be edited at our discretion.

We only allow 5 ads per issue and they are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and we only allow one ad per advertiser.

We will bold and link your headline to the URL you supply.

Deadline: Your ad must be submitted by the 15th of the month in which you want your ad to run.

Cost: A single ad is $30.00 per issue.

Important Note: All products and services advertised in our newsletter must be of interest to gift basket business owners so we can stay within the theme of Basket Biz Cafe's focus. We have the right to reject or edit any ad sent to us if it is not related to this industry, is extremely hypish (you know what I mean), contains or promotes offensive content, or contains words or phrases that may get us red-flagged by spam filters.

Tips On How To Write Your Ad

Way before you submit an ad to any newsletter or ezine, start reading and watching other ads. Write them down and try to see if there is a component that you could use in your ad.
Decide which product or service you're going to promote. Specificity helps sell.
Come up with an offer, again specificity. Giving something away for free is very effective.
Know your target marget and speak to them. For our newsletter it is outlined above.
Be sure to talk about the benefits of your product or service. Features describe your product/service, benefits tell your target market what your product will do for them. Use benefits, not features in your ad.
